Tot aceasta este si a 2-a cand ne referim la cifrele turismului de masa. Aceasta este pozitionata la sud de Kalymnos si la nord de Nisyros la aproximativ 200 de mile marine de Pireus.
Insula Kos are o suprafata totala de 290 km patrati – datorita marimii sale – aproape 45 km de la un capat la celalalt – Kos mai are inca si locuri in care sa fugi de aglomeratie.
Insula este una dintre cele mai fertile din grupul Dodecanezelor, avand livezi roditoare, podgorii si crandguri de maslini. Nu este foarte muntoasa, desi Muntele Dikaios din sud-est ajunge pana la 847 m inaltime. Kos are o multime de baruri excelente si zeci de baruri animate.
